Argyris S. Argitakos was honored at the Hermes Expo International, Awards Dinner for his steadfast dedication and service to the historic AHEPA Delphi NYC Chapter # 25 – of which he is on the Board of Governors and Past-President – and for his instrumental role in the Chapter's revitalization success in becoming the largest Chapter in the AHEPA domain.
Argyris Argitakos was born in Montreal, Canada and raised in New York City. He attended Hofstra University where he attained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Public Accounting. He later attended California State University where he attained a Master of Arts degree in Humanities graduating Magna Cum Laude. Prior to his immersion in the Real Estate sector, Argyris was involved in the start-up and successful operation of a variety of businesses in the automotive and hospitality sectors.
In 2001, upon his completion from New York University’s Real Estate Institute, Argyris commenced his professional career in the Real Estate sector of NYC. Proud of his Hellenic background and Spartan familial roots, in 2004 Argyris moved to Athens, Greece where he lived for over eight years.
Since 2013, Argyris has focused his efforts in the Commercial Real Estate and Construction sectors of the Greater New York City area; applying his skills and knowledge in investment properties, retail leasing, industrial and hospitality sites, as well as new development sites; he is a NYS-licensed realtor with R New York. Supplementing this activity, Argyris also serves as an executive in the Commercial Construction sector.
Currently serving as Chief Strategic Officer and partner of Argento General Construction, LLC, a leading construction firm based in New York City. The firm specializes in retail store buildouts and high-end residential improvements. Current and past clients include some of the top-tier fashion icons such as Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Cartier, Canali, and Breitling to name few. Furthermore, as an EPA-Certified Risk Assessor, Argyris heads up Argento Environmental which provides essential environmental services for property owners and managers.
He has attained the coveted NYCP designation (New York Commercial Professional) from REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York), he is a member of the National Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR) and sits on the Development, Design & Construction Committee of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce.
He was past-President and currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Manhattan-based Chapter of the American Hellenic Educational & Progressive Association (AHEPA), Delphi 25 which was founded in 1923 and is part of the oldest and largest Greek American
organization globally. The historic Delphi Chapter # 25 is the first AHEPA Chapter organized in New York State having been founded in 1923; it has a glorious past with many esteemed past and current members including the late Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), President of the USA. During his tenure as President, Argyris was instrumental in revitalizing this historic AHEPA Chapter and in only a few years making it the largest and one of the most dynamic Chapters in the AHEPA global domain.
