Last year brought changes among the richest Americans that make the top 400 of the country. It seems that some lost a place while others ranked higher than before. One of the winners appears to be the Greek-born and great Greek philanthropist, pillar of the Greek-American community of New York, Mr John Katsimatidis.
This year's Forbes list of America's 400 richest shows that "New Balance" tycoon of Greek origin, Jim Davis, is no longer the richest Greek on the other side of the Atlantic. The businessman, who was born in the US to Greek parents, saw his fortune fall to $4 billion dollars from $6.9 billion dollars that it was last year, which ranks him 271st among the Super Rich of America for this year.
In contrast, supermarket mogul, John Katsimatidis, increased his fortune from $3.7 billion dollars to $4.1 billion dollars which ranks him to the 261st place on the Forbes list and makes him, now, the richest U.S. billionaire of Greek descent.
