On the 6th of June, the heartbeat of all Greeks will be in New York. The anniversary event «SAIL TO FREEDOM» (www.greece2021.nyc) will be organized in the US city, it is a hymn to the 200 years from the Greek Revolution but also to the contribution of the philhellenes to it.
It is a spectacular event which will give emphasis to the decisive role of the philhellenes and especially the American philhellenes. The main part of the event will include a parade of classic boats on the waters of New York. In this ways, the contribution of the Greek Shipping to the National Uprising of 1821 will be highlighted. The symbolic destination of the parade will be the Statue of Liberty which symbolizes the liberty of all Nations.

Honorary Chairman of the event is the Greek billionaire entrepreneur, known for his vast charitable activities of social solidarity, Mr John Catsimatidis. The event will be presented by the journalist Evlambia Revi and Director will be Kostas Kimoulis. The music is by Nikos Terzis. When the flotilla reaches the Statue of Liberty, the world-known aerial dancer Jennifer Anne Kovacs will give a stunning performance with many symbolic features.
Supporters of the «Sail to Freedom» campaign are Greeks who form the future of the country, like Olympic Medalists and champions who glorified the Greek colors, artists, entrepreneurs, politicians and scholars.
