Another annual tradition has been postponed due to the coronavirus. The St. Sophia’s Greek Cultural Festival in Syracuse has been moved from June to August, organizers said Thursday.
“We held out on making this decision as long as we could, but we realize the health and safety of our volunteers and patrons is our top priority.” said St. Sophia's Greek Festival Committee Chairman Peter Lemoniades.
The festival, which was scheduled to be held June 11-14 will now be held from Thursday, August 13 to Sunday August 16, 2020.
“We eagerly hope to see all of you later this summer in August to celebrate our 47th Annual Greek Festival. “ - Committee Chairman Peter Lemoniades.
