The sculpture exhibition Art Athina Pop Up InterContinental Athens opens on 29 May 2025 at Zappeion Megaron.

For a whole month, visitors will be able to browse 27 works by contemporary artists, selected from an equal number of galleries participating in Art Athina 2025. The curator of Art Athina Pop Up Savvas Sayoglou, notes that each sculpture functions autonomously within the exhibition, "activating" dialogues with the viewer.
Art Athina Pop Up is an intervention on the cultural map of the city, focusing on sculpture and expanding the exhibition experience outside of the established art spaces.
Starting on May 29 and for a whole month, visitors will tour 27 works by contemporary artists, selected from an equal number of galleries, which will participate in the upcoming Art Athina 2025. These creations will converse with the 17 works that are already installed in the premises of InterContinental Athens and belong to its collection.
The curator of Art Athina Pop Up, Savvas Sagioglou, notes: "The exhibition is shaped through the materiality of the works, the straightforwardness of their construction and the way they define and define the space. The overall proposal focuses on the autonomy of each sculpture, allowing its presence to develop freely and activate dialogues with the viewer."
With this pop-up venture, Art Athina declares itself present beyond its large annual event. It continues to strengthen its exhibition footprint and keep the dialogue with the public alive. It creatively intervenes in the city and confirms its enduring role as a pillar of the contemporary art scene, shaping lively conversations between works, artists and viewers.
