Most of the filming in Greece will take place on that superyacht where the legendary Greek-American soprano lived some of the most beautiful moments with the Greek tycoon and love of her life.
As soon as the shooting at the Apollo theater is completed, the Hollywood star along with the film crew of “Maria” will be transferred to Katakolo and to Aristotle Onassis’ yacht, "Christina O".
According to foreign reports, the accommodation on the luxury yacht that once belonged to Onassis costs 100,000 euros per day, money that will be paid by the film’s production company.
Filming will last nine months, and has begun in Paris, will continue here in Greece - at the Apollo Theater in Pyrgos, Katakolo aboard "Christina O" and at the Amaliada Municipal Theater - while the production will also travel to Budapest and Milan.
