Internationally renowned playwright, director, and English Language and Arts professor, Ada Tsesmeli Edwards, is set to present her award-winning play, "Mirrors," in English for six exclusive nights at the NEWTOWN Stage of the Hellenic Cultural Center of New York (25-02 Newtown Ave. Astoria, NY 11102). This performance promises to inspire, awaken, and move the New York audience.

"Mirrors" will be staged on May 29, 30, and 31, as well as June 5, 6, and 7. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 5:00 PM.

The play serves as both a reflection and a breakthrough regarding female identity and emotional resilience. Through a narrative that balances poetic language and raw realism, the performance addresses the silence often imposed on women and the courage required to reclaim their voice and dignity. After a successful multi-year run on the stages of Greece, "Mirrors" arrives in New York as a "voice" intended to speak about humanity and truth.

Ada Tsesmeli Edwards’ initiative stands out for its altruistic nature. As confirmed by the Artistic Director of the Hellenic Cultural Center NYC, Alexandros Ammohostianos, and the FAMA Theater Group NY, the production is fully self-funded and non-profit, with all team members participating voluntarily.

The creator's goal is to support two emblematic institutions of the Greek-American community:

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the **St. Demetrios Greek-American School.

Support will also be provided to the **Hellenic Cultural Center of New York (HCC)** to assist with its management and operations.

All proceeds from the performances will be directly allocated to these organizations, emphasizing the creator's deep commitment to community and education.

The production invites the Greek-American community and the art-loving public of New York to embrace this effort. Attendance and promotion are key to the success of this meaningful social message.
