As expected, Oppenheimer secured the Academy Awards for Best Actor (Killian Murphy), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), the Academy Award for Best Editing, the Academy Award for Photography, the Academy Award for Best Music and the Academy Award for Best Director, and of course the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Lanthimos' Poor Things won the Academy Awards: Best Actress for Emma Stone's portrayal as Bella Baxter, Best Makeup / Hairstyling, Best Set Design, Best Costumes.

Confirming the predictions, Emma Stone won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things.

"Sandra, Annette, Carey, Lily: I'm sharing it with us. I am grateful to you," Emma Stone told her fellow candidates, tears in her eyes.
In fact, she revealed that a few days ago she felt panic ahead of the Oscars and Yorgos Lanthimos advised her to put it out of her mind because, in the end, it was a team effort.

"George, thank you for the gift of life you gave me by offering me the role of Bella Baxter", the protagonist said to the Greek director.

The Poor Things star also thanked her mom, dad, siblings, husband and daughter who turns three in a few days.

Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" won the Academy Award for Best Song for Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?" and, in a slight twist, the Oscars for Original and Adapted Screenplay went to "Anatomy of a Fall" and "American Fiction," respectively.
