Giannis' agent, Alex Saratsis, announced the partnership on Instagram.
This comes as a new addition to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s growing list of business ventures.
Avli confirmed the partnership with an official statement:
“The Avli Milwaukee team is excited and proud to confirm that the group has been working alongside Giannis and his excellent team of professionals, including agent Alex Saratsis and Giorgos Panos, for some time. This has resulted in an investment from their team in Avli Milwaukee.”
The Avli team said it's been a pleasure working with them, noting that the long relationship with Antetokounmpo and Saratsis dates back to 2018 when the two first dined at Avli Taverna in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Giannis paid quite a few visits to the Greek restaurant in Chicago after that.
Avli team also extended a public congratulations to the Bucks star when he signed his $228 million supermax extension in December 2020.
Saratsis, Antetokounmpo’s agent and fellow investor in Avli, announced the partnership with an Instagram post stating that being a part owner of the restaurant with Antetokounmpo and Panos “has and will be an awesome experience.”
Avli restaurant opened on Sept. 20 in Milwaukee's Brewers Hill neighborhood.
