In a touching video from a family holiday, she says the past nine months have been very difficult – "Learning to be grateful for the simple but important things in life that we often take for granted."
Kate Middleton has revealed that she has completed chemotherapy and that her priority is to stay free of cancer.
The Princess of Wales made the announcement in her most intimate family video to date, which shows her spending private time with Prince William and her children.
The candid and personal video shows the princess, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis spending time together in Norfolk with a message delivered by Kate.
In March the princess confirmed that precancerous cells had been found after abdominal surgery and that she would have to undergo preventive chemotherapy.
Discussing the impact her health adventure has had on her and her family, Kate said: "This period has reminded William and me above all to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted. Simply loving and being loved."
"Doing everything I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus," said the beloved British princess and wife of England's future King William.
The video, which was filmed in Norfolk last month, shows the family spending time together in the woods and on the beach, playing cards and having a picnic.
"Out of the darkness, light can come out, so let that light shine brightly," concludes Kate Middleton.
