Two men, a deputy firefighter and a former police officer, were arrested in Northern Greece and more specifically in Halkidiki for drug trafficking.

The Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces of Northern Greece investigated a case of drug trafficking for which a deputy firefighter, a former police officer and a private citizen were arrested, while in addition an active police officer and another private citizen are charged.
They were charged with criminal organization and violation of drug and weapons laws.
In particular, in the context of the investigation carried out with the application of special interrogation techniques and physical surveillance, it emerged that the Deputy Fire Brigade and the former police officer had united, at least a month ago, for the purpose of drug trafficking and illegal financial gain.
In order to achieve their goal, the Deputy Fire Brigade delivered to prospective clients, during their private meetings, cocaine and raw cannabis, supplied by the former police officer, receiving for this purpose sums of money ranging from 50 to 500 euros.
In fact, in order not to be noticed, he made sure to use coded symbolic words for drugs such as "pants" or "thing".
The preliminary investigation revealed that they were involved in at least 3 cases of drug trafficking, in one of which the buyer-customer was the active police officer.
In a police operation that took place, the Deputy Fire Brigade and the former police officer were located outside a beach store in an area of Halkidiki, where they were immobilized, after a meeting between them.
The search carried out in the former police officer's car found and seized 41.55 grams of cocaine and the amount of 350 euros, while from the possession of the Deputy Fire Brigade, 1.87 grams of cocaine, which had previously been supplied by the former police officer, were seized.
From house searches, 16.2 grams of cocaine, 33.1 grams of raw cannabis, 4 cannabis graters, precision scales, stun grenade, 3 pepper sprays, 4 mobile phones, a car, as a means of transporting and hiding drugs and the amount of 200 euros were also found and seized.
Those arrested with the case file formed against them will be taken to the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, while the rest of those involved in the drug case have been identified.
