In a post on "X", Mr. Dendias stressed that such a possibility "is not consistent with the excellent strategic relations of the two countries so far". "Following the relevant briefing of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, I met today at the Ministry of National Defence with the Ambassador of France, Laurence Auer," Dendias said. "I have requested," he adds, "an official briefing on information about the sale of METEOR missiles to Turkey by a consortium in which France participates."
