Drastic cuts in Athens mass transport, trains, due to coronavirus measures

Athens public transportation schedules will be reduced in non-peak times, the managers OASA said on Monday, to reflect coronavirus restrictions that have led to an 80 pct drop in passenger use.
Schedules will not change for busy times on buses, trolleys, trams and the Athens Metro (start of day to 10:00 and 15:00 to 18:00), but will be limited the rest of the day and evening as of March 24 (Tuesday). OASA said the schedule during those non-peak times will be fewer even than the August schedules, dropping by as much as half.

In a related development, intercity trains will drastically reduce its schedules as of Tuesday (March 24), TrainOSE said on Monday.
Very few schedules will keep running, especially between Athens and Thessaloniki.
