The deceased was one of the three workers who were trapped in the church of Prophet Elias in Arkalochori.
According to Proto Thema, the dome of the church collapsed during the earthquake and a worker was fatally injured.
The unfortunate worker was picked up by an ambulance and transported to a hospital.
Another worker who was with him in the chapel escaped unscathed.
In the meantime, at least 11 people have been injured and are being treated at the Arkalochori Health Centre.
So far, many damages to buildings in the villages of Roussochoria, Archontiko and Patsideros have been reported.
