A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in the northern Halkidiki region, according to the Seismological Station of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The epicenter of the quake, which was also felt in Thessaloniki, was in the sea in the Toronean Gulf, at a depth of 9 kilometers.
