New Democracy announced the first 28 names of its European list with Diaspora Greeks and Expatriates from New York, Australia, Canada, Brussels and Great Britain

New Democracy published today, Friday 22 March, the names of the first candidates with its ballot paper in the European elections of 9 June.

The 28 candidates come from various professional fields and the majority of them are not running for the first time, while among them are expatriates and expatriate Greeks abroad.

New Democracy announces the first 28 names of candidates for the European elections on 9 June:

- Michalis Angelopoulos, lawyer, president of the Scientific Council of KEDE, former mayor of Samos
- Vanessa Archontidou, communicator, European Climate Pact ambassador
- Elisa Vozemberg, MEP
- Pyrros Dimas, Olympic champion, vice-president of the World Weightlifting Federation
- Noni Dounia, former Member of Parliament for Piraeus and the Islands, presenter
- Thanasis Exadaktylos, president of the Panhellenic Medical Association, plastic surgeon
- Spyros Karanikolas, lawyer, PhD in European Law
- Dimitris Katsaounis, business consultant, expatriate from Canada
- Manolis Kefalogiannis, Member of the European Parliament
- Vasilis Kontozamanis, Prime Minister's advisor on health issues, former Deputy Minister of Health
- Olga Kouri-Kalergi, obstetrician-gynecologist
- Maria-Oreozili Koutsoupia, lawyer in Brussels and Athens
- Faith Krystallidou, volunteer secretary of New Democracy, civil servant, Attica Hospital
