Pictures From The Kalyve Of Holy Cross

Greece is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! And Mount Athos, on the third leg of the Halkidiki peninsula, apart from the spectacular landscape is also surrounded by mystery and holiness as the place is dedicated to Mother Mary, the only female presence allowed there. No women are allowed in the "Garden of the Mother of God".

The scattered monasteries and the caves for the monks and the eremites who inhabit one of the most sacred places of Orthodox Christianity make Mount Athos one of the most intriguing place in Greece.
Dr Nikolaos Dimitriadis - President of Ecumenical, Missiological and Environmental Studies “ Metr. Panteleimon Papageorgiou (CEMES) and Professor of World Religions in the American College of Thessaloniki/ Greece - shared with us unique pictures from the Kalyve of Holy Cross along with some words inspired while watching the breathtaking view.
“As I stood at the balcony of the Kalyve of Holy Cross in the Skete of Saint Anne in Mount Athos, gazing out at the breathtaking view that stretched before me, a surge of emotions washed over me like a gentle breeze. I cannot limit it in a scene of beauty. Greece is full of them. It is the grace of Panagia, the Mother of God. Through her grace, we are reminded that we are never alone, for she is ever present, offering her comfort and guidance”. ND
