Although Kimberly Guilfoyle - a personal choice and close friend of U.S. President Trump, former wife of Donald Trump Jr. - has been appointed, confirmation by the Senate has not yet taken place and it has not been clear exactly when she will move to our country to officially assume her duties as U.S. ambassador to Greece.
To this day, June 25, 2025, there are no reports of the appointment of Kimberly Guilfoyle on the official X (old Twitter) accounts for the U.S. Embassy in Athens and the ambassador to Greece, except for a retweet about the celebration of the Greek Revolution on March 24, 2025 at the White House.
Also, until June 25, 2025, there are no reports of Guilfoyle's appointment on the official Instagram account of the U.S. Embassy in Athens. The account @usembassyathens has posted a Reel about Swearing-in Day, a photo from Super Bowl LIX attended by Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Gilfoyle and Bettina Anderson, as well as a video featuring Christy Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security.
"Kimberly Gilfoyle is probably not coming to Greece, as she is facing problems of a financial and fiscal nature that cannot be accessed for Congress to give his approval for her appointment in Greece", circulated yesterday apparently as a rumor or fake news.
According to the same report, there are quite a few Greek-Americans who are rushing to declare interest in the position of the U.S. ambassador to Greece.

According to the report by Michalis Ignatiou for SKAI TV, the close circle of Kimberly Guilfoyle's associates informed that her relationship with Donald Trump remains very close, being the president's trusted choice, while she is expected to come to Greece normally.
It is estimated that by July 15 her candidacy will have passed through the Senate Committee on International Affairs, then she will go to the Plenary and consequently she will arrive in our country as everything shows in the first week of September.
