Dear Compatriots,
It is with great joy that we announce the launching of the "Greece 2021" Committee's Numismatic Programme!
This unique collection of coins that will enable all of us to participate in the celebrations of the 200th Anniversary of the Revolution, "travel" through Greece's modern history and acquire a unique memento of the historical Anniversary is now available at https://shop.greece2021.gr/en/.
As of January 18, each Greek may purchase his/her collector commemorative coins and respective coin collections of the "Greece 2021" Committee's Numismatic Programme. The 14 coins of supreme quality and exceptional style are issued in a limited number, and their dies will be destroyed after minting, thus further enhancing their unique collectible value!
Without a doubt, it is an investment with added value over time, a timeless gift to cherish and pass on from generation to generation. At the same time, it is a means through which Greek people worldwide may contribute to the implementation of additional projects and events that will honour the two centuries of the modern Greek State.
Thousands of Greeks in Greece and abroad are already embracing this significant initiative of the "Greece 2021" Committee, participating in our Homeland’s Bicentennial.
The 14 coins are included in the following collections:
- 2 coins made of common metal in combination with polymer material in a blister case, imprinted with the first two coins of the Greek State, the Phoenix and the Drachma.
- 8 silver coins depicting the Greek State's expansions and the personalities associated with each Greek region. They are available either as a whole or individually in matching wooden cases.
Finally, the entire collection of all 14 coins of the Numismatic Programme, including the 4 gold coins depicting the evolution of the Greek people’s national symbol, the flag, from the Revolution to the present day, is contained in the complete threefold deluxe case.
Photographs and detailed information on the coins' technical specifications and how to purchase them may be accessed at https://shop.greece2021.gr/en/.
