Rolex welcomed the Greek Maria Sakkari to its elite family of Ambassadors.
Sakkari already has a remarkable career and is the first Greek woman to enter the top 10 in the world, in 2021.
On March 21, 2022, Sakkari reached the highest position in her career, at No. 3, before securing her first WTA 1000 title in Guadalajara in 2023. Having been included among a select group of top tennis players and legends worldwide, Sakkari becomes the second Rolex Ambassador from our country, following in the footsteps of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who joined the Rolex family in 2019.
On her latest "conquest", Sakkari said: "It is a great honour to become a Rolex Ambassador, along with so many incredibly talented and legendary players. Tennis is booming in Greece, so it's very special to know that Rolex supports the development of both women's and men's sports in my country. I'm excited to embark on this journey together and to see the Rolex crown in the tournaments I'm competing in will be a great reminder that I'm part of this amazing family."
