The "flying" Emmanuel Karalis continues his amazing course, who with an incredible jump broke all precedents and set a new national record in pole vault, "flying" over 6 meters!

Once again, Emmanuel Karalis made history at the Panhellenic Indoor Championship, hosted at SEF, setting a new national record.
In his fifth race this year, Emmanuel Karalis managed to break the national indoor record and pass all six meters, setting the absolute national record in outdoor and indoor athletics!
Emmanouil Karalis passed 5.65 meters with the first attempt and "locked" the first place in the National Indoor Championship for the 7th time in his career, with just one jump.
Our Olympic bronze medalist didn't stop there, though! He continued the race alone, passed 5.85 meters with the second attempt and then set the bar at 5.95 meters to set a new national indoor record (which until then was 5.94 meters) and managed it with the first!
Karalis, with his jump of 5.95 meters, broke the National record for the fourth time in less than a month.
But even that wasn't enough for the smiling Manolo, as he would break his own record with his next jump!
The Greek Olympic champion set the bar even higher, at 6.01 meters, and literally flew over it with the first to set a new Panhellenic record in indoor and outdoor athletics, with an amazing jump that reached perfection.
Karalis then tried with the bar at 6.08 meters but did not pass it and retired with the crowd standing and cheering him.
If he passed 6.08 meters, the Greek Olympic champion would become the fourth all-time jumper in the world to jump this high!
