The first night session of the 2023 US Open saw Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece take on former World No. 3 Milos Raonic of Canada on Monday inside Louis Armstrong Stadium. Many were the Greeks who supported Stefanos last night both at the Stadium and from home. Tennis fans in Greece had to stay up practically all night to watch the amazing game that Stefanos played against Milos Raonic while Tsitsipas also admitted that the large number of Greek fans at the Stadium gave him great force!

Tsitsipas prevailed 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, picking up his first win over Raonic after falling in their two previous encounters in 2020.
"It was nice to play quality tennis against Milos who is a great personality for tennis. I knew he had nothing to lose and I had to figure out how to keep myself in the game from the first point. I took it to power and it worked," said Tsitsipas, who had a large portion of the audience in his favor, since there were many Greeks at the Armstrong Stadium for the US Open.
"When I see something like this I feel at home, it becomes more fun to play tennis. I know we have a great community here as in other cities. I am proud of my origin and I hope to represent it worthily for two weeks," said the top Greek tennis player.
