Analyzing more than 30,800 user ratings on Google's platform for 2023, interesting facts emerge.
The 5 airports with the highest score in user ratings for 2023The most positive picture has the airport of Samos with a rating of 4.46 out of 5, while in second place follows Mytilene airport with a rating of 4.45. The airports of Thessaloniki and Kavala follow with 4.39. The top 5 airports in Greece with the best ratings for 2023 also includes the airport "Eleftherios Venizelos of Athens" with 4.25 out of 5.
The 5 airports with the lowest rating in user reviews for 2023On the other hand, Heraklion airport continues in 2023 to be the airport with the lowest rating score in Greece, with a further decrease in its average rating compared to 2022, receiving a rating score of 2.43 out of 5 (from 2.69 in 2022). This is followed by the airports of Chios (3.07), Kalamata (3.08), Mykonos (3.32) and Paros (3.36).
2023 vs 2022: Interesting highlights
● Athens Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" recorded a slight negative change in the rating score by users in 2023 (4.26, from 4.35 in 2022), which, however, deprived it of the first place it had received in 2022 in the list of airports in Greece with the highest score.
● The airports of Karpathos, Paros, Kefalonia and Mytilene were the airports that recorded the largest positive annual percentage change
in 2023 compared to 2022. In contrast, the airports of Kalamata, Chios, Heraklion and Skiathos recorded the largest negative annual percentage change in their rating scores.
For the validity of the data, only airports that have received more than 145 ratings and served more than 250,000 passengers during the period under review have been included in the survey.This Tourix survey is part of the Business Intelligence tools used by the company to analyze data, evaluate them and draw conclusions in relation to the tourism and travel industry in Greece.
