For many, summer in the Greek islands may be associated with popular destinations and when they hear that an island in Greece is considered the No1 best destination in the world, their mind goes to Santorini or cosmopolitan Mykonos, but the island that seems to have enchanted everyone internationally is none of the above!

The picturesque tiny island Lipsi won the first place among the eleven best destinations in the world as it offers travelers unique experiences, beyond the ordinary.
The award-winning travel blog "Where Life is Great", as part of the New Year's Trends survey conducted annually by its editorial team, selected the beautiful, small, Greek island and explains:
"If you are looking for a magical escape to an intact exotic place, then Lipsi is your "number one" destination for 2024. Imagine a sustainable place where time seems to stand still and every breath of sea air neutralizes all worries and anxieties", says blogger Marta Ostoya explaining the reasons why Lipsi meets all the criteria to conquer the top of the list of the most promising destinations for the new season.
Next in place are Hokkaido, Japan, Australia's Fraser Island, Mallorca, Tenerife, Sri Lanka, Procida in Italy, Sardinia, Fuerteventura in Spain, Mujeres Island in Mexico and Jamaica. It is noted that at the invitation of the municipality, Lipsi was added to last year's program of the well-traveled blogger who "counts" so far more than 560,000 photos in the context of her visits to 50 countries and 4 continents.
The Mayor of Lipsi, Fotis Maggos, stated that "Year after year, our effort to present Lipsi to the international travel public as a sustainable and authentic holiday proposal that has at the same time unrivalled modern tourist services is gaining more ground.
The destination's performance for 2023 set new records with travellers from Europe and further afield markets giving us a vote of confidence."
