At precisely 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time, Trump stepped up to the historic podium overlooking the trading floor to ring the iconic brass bell, signaling the start of the day’s regular equity trading session. The moment was met with the customary applause and cheers from brokers below. Flanking the First Lady on the balcony was a prominent cohort of women business executives, most notably Lisa Su, the widely recognized Chair and CEO of semiconductor powerhouse Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), alongside Martin herself. The curated group underscored a strong focus on executive female leadership across corporate America, innovation, and global markets.
The Wall Street appearance provided a visible launchpad for IMPERIA, a venture aligning with the First Lady’s portfolio of enterprise and philanthropic focus. By choosing the world's largest stock exchange as the launch venue, the initiative signaled an intent to anchor itself within modern economic enterprise, corporate leadership, and strategic outreach.

Following the bell-ringing ceremony, Trump spent several minutes speaking with veteran business journalist Liz Claman, discussing the mission behind IMPERIA as well as the broader economic landscape. She then toured the active trading floor, walking among the desks to observe the morning order flow and exchange greetings with floor brokers and operations specialists. The appearance brought a blend of political presence and executive profile to Lower Manhattan, spotlighting contemporary leadership while marking a key corporate and personal milestone on the world’s most prominent financial platform.
