Things are moving fast the last few days. After the turbulent meeting of US President Trump with his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky, the meeting of the 16 in London and Trump's announcement that he stops US weapons for Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "backs down" and declares that Ukraine wants peace and is ready to come to the negotiating table under the "strong leadership" of Donald Trump.

Volodymyr Zelensky has made Ukraine's commitment to peace clear, stressing that no one wants an endless war. "Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring peace closer. No one wants peace more than Ukrainians," he said in a tweet.
The Ukrainian president expressed his readiness to work together under the "strong leadership" of Donald Trump to achieve a lasting peace. He said Kiev was ready to move quickly towards ending the war, starting with a prisoner exchange, an air ceasefire – including a ban on missiles, long-range drones and bombing of energy and other civilian infrastructure – and an immediate ceasefire at sea if Russia responded.
Zelensky expressed appreciation for U.S. assistance in defending Ukrainian sovereignty and independence, pointing to Trump's role in sending Javelin anti-tank missiles, which he said marked a turning point in his country's defense.
Referring to Friday's meeting at the White House, the Ukrainian president said it "did not turn out as it should," lamenting its outcome. At the same time, he underlined the need for "corrections" and more constructive cooperation in the future.
Finally, he also said that Ukraine is ready to sign the agreement on minerals and security at any time and in any form, calling it a "step towards greater security and guarantees".
I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.
